MILWAUKEE, WI — A Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver remains hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle Thursday, February 2, in Milwaukee’s Sunset Heights neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
The incident occurred in the area of North Sherman Boulevard and West Townsend Street, near Townsend Public School.
According to Milwaukee Police, nearby surveillance footage captured a vehicle failing to stop at a red light, leading to T-bone crash. The MCTS bus driver, who had just finished a work shift, was cross the roadway toward his personal vehicle when he was hit by the other vehicle, which sent him into the air.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he continues to recover from multiple broken bones and bruises.
No information regarding pending charges has been disclosed at this time.
