MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people were taken into custody Wednesday morning after a wreck involving a stolen vehicle in northwest Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The collision took place at the corner of North Sherman Boulevard and West Wright Street, near Washington High School of Information in the Uptown area. Milwaukee Police received the call shortly before 10:00 a.m.
Authorities said the driver of the stolen car lost control, causing the vehicle to strike a tree. Moments later, multiple occupants exited the car and fled the scene on foot.
Responding officers were able to apprehend two occupants, but a search for other unknown suspects remains underway.
No injuries have been reported.
