MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 71-year-old man died Wednesday after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle near South Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
The fatal incident took place at 15th Avenue and East College Avenue, near South Shore Athletic Club in the Cudahy area. It was first reported by TMJ4 at 7:54 p.m.
Details remain limited, but the South Milwaukee Police Department said the male cyclist was hit by a vehicle driven by an 85-year-old man.
First responders applied life-saving measures to the victim, who was found unresponsive, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver, who was not reported hurt, stayed after the crash and cooperated with authorities.
An investigation was in progress. No pending charges or citations have been reported at this time.
