LINCOLN COUNTY, WI — A 66-year-old Oshkosh man died last Saturday after a crash involving four motorcycles that injured three others in the Town of Bradley, reports Tomahawk Leader.
Officials with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on a span of County Road A shortly after receiving a call at 10:00 a.m.
An initial investigation indicates two motorcyclists were heading southbound and were about to make a turn when they were hit by two other southbound motorcyclists.
First responders arrived to find the Oshkosh man not breathing. Shortly after, he was pronounced deceased on the scene. Officials said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
One rider was transported to Aspirus Tomahawk Hospital. A third patient was first taken to the same hospital but then airlifted to another facility for other treatment. The fourth rider was taken to the hospital by private conveyance.
The cause of the wreck remains unclear, but an investigation was underway with assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol.
