WAUPACA COUNTY, WI — One person had to be extricated from a vehicle Monday night after a rollover collision on Lake Road in the Town of Matteson, reports WBAY.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office said the crash occurred north of County Highway C, shortly before 9:36 p.m.
According to officials, the driver was heading northbound on Lake Road when their vehicle left the roadway and entered a ditch. Moments later, the vehicle then ran back into the roadway, traveled across the west ditch, and collided with trees, causing the vehicle to roll.
Authorities arrived to find the vehicle overturned on its side, and the driver trapped inside the wreckage.
Clintonville Fire Department crews worked to extricate the victim before transporting them to a nearby hospital. The extent of patient’s injuries has not been disclosed.
An investigation remains ongoing.
