MILWAUKEE, WI — A 21-year-old man was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle collision led to a shooting in Milwaukee’s Halyard Park neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
The events unfolded at the corner of West North Avenue and Vel R. Philips Avenue at around 4:00 p.m.
Details are limited, but Milwaukee Police said the young man had been involved in a car accident with a 26-year-old driver when that driver fired multiple shots in the victim’s direction.
The victim, who was struck by at least one bullet, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. No updates on his condition have been released at this time.
Authorities said the suspect had fled the scene on foot but was later found and apprehended in the area. He faces criminal charges from the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
