MILWAUKEE, WI — A 41-year-old woman died Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in north Milwaukee’s Arlington Heights area, reports FOX6 Milwaukee.
The fatal incident took place near the intersection of North 11th Street and West Atkinson Avenue, near Atkinson Triangle, at approximately 6:00 a.m.
No other details have been shared at this time, but Milwaukee police said the driver fled the scene after the crash.
It was not immediately clear whether the victim died at the scene or at a hospital.
An investigation remains ongoing.
