GREEN BAY, WI — A vehicle accident Monday morning downed a power pole and wires near Baird Park on Green Bay’s east side, according to WBAY.
The collision occurred at the intersection of East Mason Street and South Webster Avenue and was first reported by WBAY at around 5:49 a.m.
It was unclear what led up to the incident, but the area was expected to remain closed until the early afternoon as Wisconsin Public Service crews work to restore power.
No injuries were reported.
Commuters were advised to take the Walnut Street or Main Street bridges across Fox River.
A weather advisory issued by police following the crash suggests slippery road conditions may have factored into the crash.
