CALEDONIA, WI – A suspect who was responsible for causing a four-vehicle crash fled the scene and then returned, rear-ending a Caledonia police car, injuring themself on Monday.
This multi-automobile wreck happened before 8:45 a.m. in the 4900 block of Douglas Avenue, according to the Village of Caledonia Police Department. The suspect is expected to be OK, only sustaining a “very minor injury after striking the patrol cruiser,” officials indicated.
The suspect, who was only identified as an 85-year-old Caledonia resident, has been given several citations for the initial collision and for crashing into the back of the patrol cruiser.
