MILWAUKEE, WI — At least one person was injured following a crash Monday, February 26, in Milwaukee’s north side that left a food truck significantly damaged, reports TMJ4.

The incident occurred near the intersection of North Holton Street and East Capitol Drive, where the food truck business Gumbo Valley has been parked all seven days of the week for the past three years.

While the cause of the collision has not been confirmed, business owner Andre Richards was working inside the truck when it was struck by a vehicle.

While Richards only suffered minor injuries, the impact of the wreck left the back of the truck crumpled.

Responding officers were observed administering a field sobriety test to the causing driver, who was arrested at the scene. It’s unclear whether the suspect was injured.
