MILWAUKEE, WI — An 80-year-old woman has died following a pedestrian crash last Friday evening, September 1, in Milwaukee’s south side, according to TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police said the incident occurred at the intersection of South 6th Street and West Lapham Boulevard, in the city’s Historic Mitchell Street neighborhood. Officers and first responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after 6:30 p.m.
Preliminary details show the woman was using a designated crosswalk to travel across the road on foot when she was hit by a car.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. MPD officials confirmed that she succumbed to her injuries on the following Tuesday, September 5.
Though the driver stayed at the scene after the crash, authorities have not released any identifying information or described any other circumstances of the event. No charges have been reported at this time.
