WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A driver was taken into custody Wednesday evening after crashing a truck through the fence of a private Waukesha property and fleeing the scene, according to Waukesha Alerts.
The incident was reported at 905 East Saint Paul Avenue, the address for MetalTek International. Four City of Waukesha Police Department units were dispatched to the scene at about 8:10 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate a truck was traveling recklessly when it slammed through the fence of the industrial building. The vehicle was then seen speeding away from the area, dragging its front bumper along the ground.

Officers had begun pursuing the suspect vehicle when the chase came to a quick stop at the intersection of West Saint Paul and Fairview Avenue. Shortly after, dispatchers indicated that the suspect had been taken into custody after a controlled traffic stop in which nearby intersections were closed.
No major injuries have been reported.
