RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 24-year-old Racine man died Tuesday night after a single-vehicle crash off Wisconsin State Highway 20 near Mount Pleasant, reports FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The fatal wreck took place on the eastbound side of WIS-20 (Washington Avenue) near Oakes Road. Local police responded to the scene at about 9:00 p.m.
Investigators learned that the man was driving eastbound on the highway when, for reasons still unclear, his vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with an electrical pole.
The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by first responders. His identity remains undisclosed as his family is still being notified.
Mount Pleasant Police Department officials and the Washington State Patrol continue to investigate the crash.
