MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A multi-vehicle accident Wednesday morning blocked two lanes on Interstate 41 in Wauwatosa, leading to significant delays, according to WISN.
The crash impacted the northbound lanes of I-41 near Exit 42A to North Mayfair Road. All involved vehicles had been removed from the roadway by 7:30 a.m., but the lanes remained closed, causing a delay of about 50 minutes between I-94 to North Avenue.
It was unclear what caused the collision, but officials said three of the involved vehicles were later able to be driven away. The three others required tow services at the scene, suggesting considerable property damage.
No information regarding hospital transports or potential injuries has been disclosed at this time.
By 8:30 a.m., the traffic delay in the area had reduced to 5 minutes.
