MILWAUKEE, WI — A man was hospitalized early Friday after being struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
The incident took place near North 57th Street and West Fond Du Lac Avenue, in the Lincoln Creek area, at about 12:35 a.m.
Details remain limited, but Milwaukee Police Department officials say the man was traveling by foot in a marked crosswalk when he was hit by the vehicle.
The victim, who suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening, was transported to a nearby hospital.
At this time, the MPD has not released a description of the suspect or fleeing vehicle. An investigation and search for the hit-and-run driver is underway.
