MILWAUKEE, WI — A man was hospitalized Monday night after being shot, crashing a vehicle, and fleeing both scenes in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police said the events first unfolded in the area of North 36th Street and West Auer Avenue, where, at around 10:15 p.m., the man was involved in what was described as a “non-fatal shooting.” Shortly after fleeing that scene, he crashed a vehicle a few blocks away, in the area of North 35th Street and West Burleigh Street.
Following the wreck, the victim was able to run a block north to the Milwaukee Police District 7 building. From there, he was transported by EMS to a local hospital. No specific information on the severity of his condition has been disclosed.
No other injuries have been reported.
At this time, an investigation into the circumstances behind the shooting remain underway. The MPD continues to search for one or more unknown suspects.
