MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle overturned during a police chase Tuesday evening on Interstate 43 in downtown Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
The rollover wreck occurred on the northbound lanes of I-43 at West Highland Avenue, in the Westown neighborhood, at about 8:30 p.m.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Milwaukee Police Department officers were in pursuit of a car when the fleeing vehicle rolled. Prior to the chase, the occupants of the vehicle had been identified in connection to a suspected armed robbery and carjacking.
Authorities have not confirmed whether anyone was taken into custody or left injured following the crash, but an MCSO squad and Milwaukee Fire Department crews were called to assist at the scene.
