MILWAUKEE, WI — Two men were taken into custody Monday evening after a police pursuit ended in a crash at a north Milwaukee intersection, reports TMJ4.
The wreck occurred near North 7th Street and West Fiebrantz Avenue, at the Interstate 43 northbound onramp, in the city’s Grover Heights area.
Sherwood Police Department officials said the events unfolded at about 6:15 p.m., when officers attempted a traffic stop on a driver after an observed traffic violation. The driver refused to stop, prompting a chase that carried on throughout the city and ended in the collision at 7th and Fiebrantz.
Two adult men from the vehicle, one of whom received treatment for minor injuries, were taken into custody following the crash. Authorities learned the driver had a number of outstanding warrants. A firearm, suspected marijuana, and other unspecified drug paraphernalia were also recovered from the vehicle. Charges are expected to be referred to the District Attorney’s Office.
No other injuries were reported in the event.
