MILWAUKEE, WI — A 32-year-old man has died nearly two weeks after he was struck by a vehicle on Monday, May 22, in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office said the incident occurred near the intersection of North 37th Street and West Lisbon Avenue.
Details remain limited, but the victim was crossing the street on foot when he was hit by a vehicle whose driver left the scene without stopping.
First responders rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on Sunday, June 4. The ME’s office has since identified him as Ishatua Smail.
At this time, no information on the suspect or fleeing vehicle has been released.
