BARRON COUNTY, WI — A 44-year-old man from Dallas has died following a motorcycle accident on 18th Street near southeast Barron, according to We Are Green Bay.
The Barron County Sheriff’s Department said the collision took place near the intersection with 8th Avenue, at about 8:20 p.m.
Very little information has been made available, but an early investigation indicates the man was operating a motorcycle on 18th Street when the bike collided with a deer.
The rider was airlifted to an area hospital but was later pronounced deceased.
The fatal incident prompted a response from multiple other agencies, including the Barron and Chetek Police Departments, Chetek Ambulance, Chetek Fire, Barron County First Responders, and Mayo Helicopter.
