WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — An elderly man was injured Monday afternoon after a crash involving a bicycle and a passenger car in south Waukesha, according to Waukesha Alerts.
The incident occurred at the intersection of South East Avenue and West Wabash Avenue, near the Avondale neighborhood. It was first reported at 1:42 p.m.
Officials have not disclosed the circumstances of the event, but dispatchers said the man was down on the roadway with injuries, suggesting he was on the bicycle.
Six fire department units and 3 police department units were called to the scene.

Shortly before 2:00 p.m., the patient was being transported to an area hospital. No information regarding the severity of his condition has been shared.
