MILWAUKEE, WI — Multiple suspects were arrested after a police pursuit last Wednesday ended in a multi-injury crash at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The incident took place at the hospital complex near North 12th Street and West State Street.
According to Milwaukee Police, officers had tried to conduct a traffic stop on a reckless driving suspect near 35th and Greenfield at about 5:38 p.m. When the suspect refused to pull over, a pursuit was prompted.
Authorities said the suspect vehicle eventually ran a red light at the 12th and State intersection and collided with another vehicle.
Following the accident, multiple suspects, including the 23-year-old male driver and two male passengers aged 22 and 20, got out of the causing vehicle and attempted to flee the scene on foot, but were eventually apprehended. All three were taken into custody and transported to a local hospital to be medically cleared.
An undisclosed number of people in the victim vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but it was unclear whether anyone had to be taken to a hospital.
Milwaukee Police said charges are pending against the suspects.
