DODGE COUNTY, WI — A 38-year-old woman died Saturday morning after a crash on U.S. Highway 151 in the Town of Chester that left three others injured, reports TMJ4.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes near Exit 144 to County Highway M, just before 8:30 p.m.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, a 59-year-old man was driving a Chevy Sonic that veered onto the paved shoulder and hit a parked semi. Officials said the semi was hauling double trailers.
The woman, who was in the front passenger seat of the Chevrolet, was pronounced deceased on the scene. The male driver was airlifted to UW-Hospital in Madison with serious injuries.
A 14-year-old girl who was ejected was initially transported to a local hospital but then was also flown to UW-Hospital. The fourth occupant, a 9-year-old girl, was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.
No other details have been shared, but an investigation by the DCSO with assistance from area agencies remains ongoing.
