OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI — A 42-year-old man died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 41 in Outagamie County, reports NBC26.
While officials have not disclosed the exact location of the crash, multiple agencies responded to the scene on the northbound side of the highway at around 6:15 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate a 25-year-old Green Bay man was driving a commercial motor vehicle northbound when the vehicle hit the male pedestrian, a resident of Little Chute.
Officials confirmed the victim died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.
All northbound lanes of I-41 were shut down for more than three hours, forcing traffic to divert from the scene.
An investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unity was underway. At this time, no charges have been reported.
