MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people had to be extricated after a wreck Tuesday morning that injured another person in Milwaukee’s Riverside Park area, reports TMJ4.
The accident happened near the corner of North Humboldt Boulevard and East Wright Street. It was first reported shortly after 6:33 a.m.
Video captured by a witness shows a car clipping the median before it lost control. The vehicle is then seen colliding with construction equipment and a tree in the yard of the nearby Humboldt Apartments.
Milwaukee Police said three people, including the 19-year-old male driver, a 24-year-old female passenger in the front seat, and an 18-year-old female passenger in the backseat, were all transported to an area hospital.
An investigation remains in progress, but authorities believe speed played a role in the accident. The MPD also noted a firearm was recovered from the crash site.
