DANE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle accident Wednesday evening blocked part of eastbound U.S. Highway 12 in east Madison, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The collision took place on the eastbound lanes at Exit 255 to South Gammon Road. It was first reported by 511 at 5:26 p.m.

Few details have been disclosed, but by 5:48 p.m., more than 20 minutes later, multiple lanes were reopened, leaving only the left lane closed.
By 6:03 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway and all lanes were restored to traffic.
