MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A rollover crash involving a semi-truck was reported early Wednesday on Interstate 41 at the Hale Interchange near Greenfield, according to TMJ4.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes at Exit 4 to Interstate 43. It was first reported by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation at about 4:00 a.m.
Officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said a semi-truck carrying 42,000 pounds of paper struck the wall and overturned, leaving three traffic lanes.
The driver of the semi sustained minor injuries, but it was unclear whether or not they were taken to a hospital.
The closure remained in place for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene, causing a traffic backup that stretched to three miles.
