MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle accident Sunday morning closed part of Interstate 43 southbound in west Greenfield, reports TMJ4.
The collision occurred on the southbound lanes at I-41/43/894 westbound, or the Hale Interchange, at about 7:20 a.m. Officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene shortly after for an investigation.
Authorities did not say what led up to the crash or how many vehicles were involved, but all southbound lanes of I-43 were blocked in the immediate aftermath.
Shortly before 8:28 a.m., over an hour later, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced all lanes were reopened to traffic.
No information regarding potential injuries has been released at this time.
