MILWAUKEE, WI — A 28-year-old man was taken into custody Monday after a police chase led to a collision in northwest Milwaukee, according to CBS58.
Milwaukee Police said officers began pursuing a reckless driver in the area of North 44th Street and West Hope Street. Sometime later, the fleeing vehicle collided with a fence at North 50th Street and West Clarke Street, in the city’s Uptown neighborhood.
The male driver was arrested and then transported to a local hospital for a precautionary evaluation.
Few other details have been shared at this time, but authorities said they recovered “suspected narcotics” at the scene.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is now reviewing charges, and an investigation remains in progress.
