MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people, including a Glendale police officer and a prisoner, were taken to a hospital Monday after a squad car was struck by a stolen vehicle in downtown Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The collision occurred near the corner of North 10th Street and West Highland Avenue at about 4:30 p.m.
An early investigation indicates the officer was transporting a prisoner to the nearby Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility when the Glendale police squad car was hit by a driver in a stolen car.
Medics took both the officer and the prisoner to a local hospital to be evaluated for injuries.
No further details have been made available at this time. The Milwaukee Police Department was processing the stolen vehicle and handling the crash investigation.
