MILWAUKEE, WI — A 53-year-old woman was arrested Sunday evening after a multi-vehicle wreck that seriously hurt two others in northwest Milwaukee, according to WISN.
The collision took place on the northbound side of Wisconsin Highway 175 near West Vliet Street, in the Washington Park area. Shortly after 1:00 p.m., all northbound lanes were blocked.
An early investigation by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office indicates the woman was driving a car that hit an SUV driven by a 40-year-old man. The initial crash caused the man to veer his SUV toward the median wall, causing it to become hit by a third vehicle. Moments later, the SUV collided head-on with the wall.
The SUV driver suffered several broken ribs, as well as pain in his back, neck, and head. He was transported to an area hospital where he was listed in “critically stable condition.”
First responders also took the driver of the third vehicle, a 24-year-old man, to a local hospital. His injuries include a broken rib and pain in the neck, back, and head.
The driver of the causing car was not reported hurt but was taken into custody after the wreck. She faces charges of “operating after suspension” as well as “three counts of causing great bodily harm.”
