MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 75-year-old woman died early Wednesday evening after being hit and pinned by a vehicle in Whitefish Bay, according to TMJ4.
The incident occurred in the area of East Lake View Avenue and North Santa Monica Boulevard. Whitefish Bay Police responded to the scene at about 5:40 p.m.
Authorities have not disclosed the sequence of events leading up to the crash, but officers arrived to find the female pedestrian pinned under the vehicle.
Crews with the North Shore Fire Department were called to the site to extricate the victim, and first responders applied life-saving measures, but the woman was later pronounced deceased.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with an investigation, which is being handled by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
