MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon blocked a right lane on Interstate 41/U.S. Highway 45 in northwest Wauwatosa, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The wreck occurred on the southbound highway approaching West Center Street, near Wauwatosa West High School. It was first reported by TTWN at 2:45 p.m.
It was unclear what caused the crash, but at the time of the initial report, traffic was backed up to Capitol Drive.

By 3:15 p.m., 30 minutes later, crews had moved the scene to the right shoulder, but the backup had stretched down to Silver Spring Drive.
