MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle crash Wednesday morning blocked two left lanes on Interstate 894/43 in Milwaukee’s south side, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The collision occurred on the westbound interstate at Exit 8B to West Loomis Road. It was first reported by officials shortly before 8:15 a.m.
Details remain limited, but shortly after the initial report, traffic had backed up to 27th Street.

By 8:25 a.m., only the left lane remained closed, but the backup had stretched down to Mitchell Interchange.

The left lane stayed blocked for at least an additional 45 minutes.

It remains unclear what caused the wreck, and no injuries have been confirmed at this time.
