MILWAUKEE, WI — Three people were injured, one seriously, Thursday afternoon when a car fleeing Wauwatosa police struck a transport van in northwest Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.
The collision occurred near North 67th Street and West Glendale Avenue, in the city’s Capitol Heights neighborhood, at about 3:20 p.m.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, two suspects in a car were fleeing from Wauwatosa Police officers when the vehicle ignored a yield sign and collided with a transport van.
Authorities said the car’s two male occupants, ages 29 and 31, fled the scene on foot but were apprehended shortly after. They were taken to an area hospital for injuries described as “non-fatal.”
First responders rushed the van driver, a 73-year-old man, to a nearby hospital with significant injuries.
