MILWAUKEE, WI — A 48-year-old man was fatally injured Wednesday morning as a result of a pedestrian crash in Milwaukee’s Southgate neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
The incident occurred near the intersection of South 27th Street and West Oklahoma Avenue at about 5:05 a.m.
Milwaukee Police have not said what led up to the crash, but the male pedestrian was struck by a car driven by a 40-year-old man.
First responders rushed the victim to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced deceased, confirmed officials.
The driver was arrested following the crash. He is expected to be charged pending a referral to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
