MILWAUKEE, WI — A crash early Wednesday evening closed a left lane on Interstate 94 near west Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley area, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The accident happened on the westbound lanes approaching Exit 309B to North 25th Street. Dispatchers first received the call shortly before 5:10 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the event, but the lane remained blocked for nearly an hour, suggesting a major crash and extended response.
The closure caused long delays in the area, with a traffic backup stretching down to the Marquette Interchange.

By 6:05 p.m., the scene had been moved to the left shoulder.
