MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Three teenagers were hurt Monday in a rollover crash involving two vehicles on North Root River Parkway near west Greendale, according to TMJ4.
The Village of Greendale Police Department said the wreck occurred at the Parkview Road intersection after the teens were leaving school for the day.
An early investigation indicates two teens in one vehicle and one teen in another were engaged in a side-by-side street race. At one point, they encountered an oncoming truck, causing the racing drivers to swerve and collide with each other. As a result, one of the teens’ cars hit a tree while the other overturned.
Village of Greendale Police said all three teens suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether they had to be taken to a hospital. The teens were subsequently cited for their roles in the wreck.
No other details have been released at this time.
