GREEN BAY, WI — A 70-year-old man died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle in Green Bay’s west side, according to NBC26.
Green Bay Police responded to the scene in the 700 block of Mather Street, near Harrison Street, shortly after 7:00 p.m.
An early investigation indicates the male pedestrian was trying to cross Mather Street at the intersection when he was hit by the vehicle.
The victim died as a result of his injuries, confirmed officials.
The driver was said to have remained at the scene and cooperated with an investigation, but no other details have been shared.
It was unclear whether the victim had been in a crosswalk or if charges are expected to be filed against the driver.
