MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 38-year-old woman was injured Saturday morning when she was struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in West Allis, reports TMJ4.
West Allis Police responded to the scene in the area of South 65th Street and West Greenfield Avenue on October 1, shortly after 9:45 a.m.
The circumstances behind the incident remain unclear, but authorities said the woman was on a bike when she was hit by a car driven by a 42-year-old man.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
An investigation was underway, but police said drugs and/or alcohol are suspected factors in the crash. The male driver was taken into custody for “an OWI causing injury.”
