MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 73-year-old woman died early Saturday after a car was struck by a train in west Wauwatosa, according to TMJ4.
TMJ4 indicated the fatal wreck occurred along the 10500 block of Underwood Parkway, near Gravel Sholes Park. Canadian Pacific Rail reported the incident to the Wauwatosa Police Department shortly before 1:00 a.m.
The circumstances behind the event remain unclear at this time, but officials said the woman was behind the wheel of the car when it collided with the train.
Responding officers applied life-saving measures to the woman, but the victim died from her injuries at the scene.
