CALUMET COUNTY, WI — A 52-year-old Neenah woman has been identified as the driver killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash near the village of Harrison, reports NBC26.

The fatal accident happened on South Highway 114 and State Park Road shortly before 7:36 a.m.

An early investigation indicates the woman was driving an SUV eastbound when she appeared to turn in the path of a westbound dump truck driven by a 47-year-old man, causing a crash.

First responders arrived to find one person trapped in the wreckage of the SUV. Officials said the female driver died from her injuries at the scene shortly after.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether he had to be taken to a hospital.

At this time, investigators said the “angle of the sun” at the time of the wreck appears to have been a factor.
