ADAMS COUNTY, WI — A 63-year-old Wauwatosa woman died last Thursday, September 22, after a collision involving a dump truck in the Town of Jackson, according to Wisconsin Rapids City Times.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department said the fatal crash happened at the intersection of County Road I and County Highway G (4th Avenue) just after 8:00 a.m.

An early investigation indicates a dump truck was traveling southbound on CTH G at the same time an SUV was heading westbound on CTH I. Officials said the driver of the SUV failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. The SUV then entered the path of the oncoming dump truck, causing a wreck.

The Wauwatosa woman, a passenger in the SUV, was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Adams County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Officials did not say whether the drivers of the SUV and the dump truck, a 64-year-old Wauwatosa resident and a 54-year-old Friendship resident, respectively, were injured.

Multiple agencies, including the Oxford Fire Department and Marquette County EMS, assisted at the scene.

An investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Response Unit was being conducted.
