News: 1 dead, 1 critically hurt in Caledonia crash after motorcycle fails to yield

RACINE COUNTY, WI — A woman died Saturday morning after a car hit a motorcycle in Caledonia, leaving another person critically injured, reports TMJ4.

The fatal wreck occurred at the intersection of 6 Mile Road and Douglas Avenue (Wisconsin Highway 32), at about 7:00 p.m.

According to Caledonia Police, two people were riding a motorcycle eastbound on 6 Mile Road when it ran a red light. Moments later, the motorcycle was hit by a northbound car, causing both riders to eject.

The woman, who was a passenger on the bike, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The motorcycle’s male operator suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by airlift to a local hospital.

No injuries to the driver of the car or anyone else were reported.

At this time, authorities have not released further details, and no pending charges have been reported.
