MILWAUKEE, WI — A 33-year-old man was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a high-speed collision near northwest Milwaukee’s Silver Spring area, reports FOX6 Milwaukee.
The accident happened near the intersection of North 76th Street and West Silver Spring Avenue, shortly before 3:00 p.m.
According to Milwaukee Police, a car was traveling at a high rate of speed when its driver lost control. Moments later, the car struck a parked vehicle and a nearby tree.
First responders had to perform a rescue extrication to remove the driver and sole occupant from the wreckage. He suffered serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to an area hospital.
