MILWAUKEE, WI — A vehicle crash Monday afternoon blocked a left lane on Wisconsin Highway 794 in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee’s south side, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The collision took place on the eastbound lanes at South Carferry Drive, near Port Milwaukee. It was first reported by 511 at 2:17 p.m.

Officials have not released details on the circumstances behind the event, but the closure remained in place for at least 50 minutes, suggesting a major accident and extended emergency response.
By 3:07 p.m., the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
