OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 62-year-old woman was hospitalized last Thursday after she was struck by a vehicle while riding a motorcycle on Wisconsin Highway 57 in Fredonia, reports Ozaukee Press.
An off-duty deputy with the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after witnessing the crash at the intersection with County Highway A on July 7, at around 3:26 p.m.
Officials said the woman was riding eastbound on County Highway A when she stopped and waited to turn south onto WIS-57. Moments later, she was hit by a driver in a 2002 Honda Accord.
The rider, a Milwaukee resident, was airlifted to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa with non-life-threatening injuries to her leg.
At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported.
