OCONTO COUNTY, WI — A 48-year-old Oconto Falls man was seriously injured in a motorcycle wreck last Friday on Wisconsin Highway 22 near the town of Stiles, reports Green Bay Press Gazette.
The accident happened nearly a mile east of County Highway I at about 1:20 p.m.
According to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcyclist was riding eastbound on WIS-22 when his front wheel started to shake uncontrollably. The man then lost control and crashed the bike along the roadway.
Medics rushed the victim to HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls. At this time, no updates on his condition have been released.
Green Bay Press Gazette noted the event marks the third incident this month involving a motorcycle wobble crash in the area. The “death wobble” or “head shake” is often attributed to mechanical issues, operator error, or problems in aerodynamics.
