News: Driver hits power pole, prompting closure in Green Bay’s West Side

GREEN BAY, WI — A vehicle struck a utility pole Sunday afternoon, forcing a section of Shawano Avenue to close for several hours in Green Bay’s West Side, reports We Are Green Bay.

Green Bay Police said the incident took place in the 1200 block of the road, between Oneida Street and Ridge Road. It was first reported by We Are Green Bay at 4:08 p.m.

The circumstances behind the crash have not been disclosed, but residents in the area were asked to avoid the scene. Motorists were redirected to Mason Street and Dousman Street.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured. No pending charges or citations have been reported at this time.
