MILWAUKEE, WI — A 45-year-old woman died early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Milwaukee’s Garden Homes neighborhood, according to TMJ4.
The fatal incident occurred in the area of North 28th Street and West Atkinson Avenue shortly before 4:00 a.m.
Milwaukee Police has not shared the circumstances behind the crash, but said the victim was hit by a driver in a black 2010-2011 Audi A4 sedan.
The driver failed to stop after the crash, and the vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Atkinson.
Officials with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An investigation and search for the suspect was underway. Police said the Audi they are searching for should have a a passenger-side mirror missing, and damage to the right-front bumper.
